Data Deletion Instructions

Your right to data deletion
If you have used Muslim Advertising in any way - submitted a campaign brief, connected your Meta or Google ad accounts, booked a discovery call, or signed up to our mailing list - you have the right to request that all data associated with your account be deleted from our systems.
This is your right under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and our Privacy Policy. We will action all valid deletion requests within 30 days, and usually much faster.
How to request deletion
There are three ways to request data deletion. Pick whichever is easiest for you.
Option 1: Email us directly (recommended)
Send an email to hello@muslim-advertising.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
In the body of the email, please include:
- Your name
- The email address you used when interacting with our platform
- Your organisation name (if applicable)
- What you would like deleted (everything, just your Meta connection, just your Google connection, etc.)
We will confirm receipt within 1 working day and complete the deletion within 7 working days. We will email you when it is done.
Option 2: For Meta Facebook Login users
If you authorised Muslim Advertising via Facebook Login for Business, you can revoke our access directly from Meta:
- Go to your Meta Business Settings at business.facebook.com/settings
- Navigate to Integrations > Apps
- Find The Garden in the list of connected apps
- Click Remove to revoke access
Revoking access via Meta immediately invalidates your access token. We will detect the revocation and delete your stored connection data within 7 days.

Option 3: For Google Ads users
If you authorised Muslim Advertising via Google OAuth, you can revoke our access directly from your Google Account:
- Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Find Muslim Advertising / The Garden Network Ltd in the list
- Click Remove Access
Revoking access via Google immediately invalidates your refresh token. We will detect the revocation and delete your stored connection data within 7 days.
What gets deleted
When we action a deletion request, we permanently remove:
- Your Meta access token, user ID, and connected ad account list
- Your Google Ads refresh token, customer ID, and any linked accounts
- Your campaign brief, including the conversation history with our platform
- The campaign plan we generated for you
- Any audit data or website analysis we ran for you
- Your contact details from our intake submissions database
- Your name and email from any internal mailing lists
What we may have to keep
For legal, accounting, and compliance reasons, we may need to retain some records even after a deletion request:
- Invoices and payment records: We keep these for 6 years as required by HMRC and UK accounting law
- Records of consent: We keep evidence that consent was given (and withdrawn) to demonstrate UK GDPR compliance
- Anonymised performance data: Where campaign performance data has been aggregated and anonymised into our sector benchmarks, individual records cannot be removed because they no longer identify you

Backups
Our database is backed up regularly. Deletion requests are actioned in the live database immediately. Backup copies are overwritten on a 30-day rolling basis, so any data that survives in a backup will be permanently gone within 30 days of the deletion request.
If you are not satisfied
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data deletion request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
