Who we are
Muslim Advertising is a trading name of The Garden Network Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We operate the advertising platform at muslim-advertising.com.
For data protection purposes, The Garden Network Ltd is the data controller. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at hello@muslim-advertising.com.
What information we collect
Information you give us directly: If you submit your email address via our early access or newsletter form, we store your email address and the date and time of submission. We do not collect any other personal information unless you contact us directly.
Analytics data: We plan to introduce Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. This will collect standard analytics data including pages visited, time on site, and approximate location (country/city level). When we introduce this, we will update this policy and ask for your consent via a cookie notice.
Technical data: Our web server automatically logs IP addresses and browser information as part of standard server operation. These logs are used for security monitoring and are not used to identify individual users.
How we use your information
If you submit your email address, we use it to:
- Notify you when the Muslim Advertising platform is ready to access
- Send occasional updates about the platform, sector insights, and Islamic calendar advertising intelligence
We will not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Our advertising service and audience data
This section is relevant if you are considering using Muslim Advertising as an advertising partner.
Muslim Advertising operates advertising campaigns from our own infrastructure on behalf of clients. We use a proprietary audience asset - a list of Muslim-identified contacts built over more than 10 years of campaign activity in the UK.
How audience matching works: When we use this audience list for advertising purposes, email addresses are converted into cryptographic hashes (SHA-256) before being submitted to advertising platforms including Meta, Google, TikTok, and Snapchat. The platforms receive hashed data only - never raw email addresses. The output is an anonymous audience segment. No personally identifiable information is shared with clients or advertising platforms.
Client data: Clients receive campaign performance reports (impressions, clicks, conversions, cost data). They do not receive access to our audience list, the underlying contact data, or any information that could identify individual users who saw or engaged with their campaigns.
Third-party services
Google Fonts: This site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). This makes a network request to Google's servers, which may log your IP address. Google Fonts does not set cookies. See Google's privacy policy at google.com/policies/privacy.
Google Analytics 4: Not yet active on this site. When introduced, GA4 will set analytics cookies and collect usage data. We will seek your consent before enabling analytics tracking.
Cookies
Currently this site uses only a functional localStorage item to remember whether you have dismissed the cookie notice. No tracking cookies are set. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
Data retention
Email addresses collected via our early access form are retained until the platform is live and for a reasonable period afterwards for ongoing communications. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@muslim-advertising.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line and we will remove your address within 5 working days.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify any inaccurate data
